What offline reading means
Offline reading keeps a copy of a supported chapter on your device so the reader does not need to fetch every page again. Availability depends on the source and chapter. Manga Mochi does not host third-party manga, and a chapter that can be viewed online is not automatically available for download.
Download before you leave
- Connect to a reliable Wi-Fi or mobile network.
- Open a supported title and choose the chapter you want.
- Use the download action and keep the app open until it finishes.
- Open Downloads and confirm the chapter appears before going offline.
Test one page in airplane mode before a long trip. A completed download is a better signal than assuming a chapter is ready because it opened once online.
If a chapter will not download
Retry on a stable connection
Temporary source errors and interrupted networks can stop a download. Reconnect, reopen the chapter and retry. Avoid starting many large chapters at once on an unreliable connection.
Check source availability
Sources can change their pages, remove chapters or limit requests. If the chapter no longer loads online, downloading it will not solve the underlying source problem.
Keep enough device storage
Image-heavy chapters can use more storage than expected. Remove older downloads from the app when you no longer need them.
Keep downloads private
Downloaded chapters and reading data stay on the device under the app's storage. Only download content you are allowed to access and keep. For your saved library and progress, use the manual backup in Profile.
