Confirm the chapter opens while you are online
Open the chapter in the reader before starting a download. If its pages do not load online, an offline copy cannot finish. Check your connection, retry once, and confirm that the third-party source is currently available.
Start the download from the chapter reader
- Open a supported chapter while connected.
- Open the reader menu.
- Choose the action to download the chapter for offline reading.
- Keep the app connected until every page finishes.
- Open Downloads and confirm the chapter appears before going offline.
A download is complete only after all supported pages finish saving. Leaving the app or losing the connection early can leave the chapter unavailable offline.
Check connection and free storage
Try a stable Wi-Fi or mobile-data connection and confirm the device has enough free storage. A chapter with many large pages needs more space than its cover or listing suggests.
Separate a source problem from a device problem
If one chapter or source fails while another supported chapter works, the issue may be with the third-party website or that chapter. Manga Mochi does not host those pages and cannot guarantee that every source, title or chapter remains available.
Do not clear app data as a first step
Bookmarks, recent reading, page progress, preferences and supported downloads stay on your device. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app can remove local data. Create a manual backup before destructive troubleshooting, and remember that downloaded chapter files are separate from the backup.
If the chapter downloaded but will not open
Reconnect once and reopen Downloads. If the saved entry is incomplete, download the supported chapter again while online and wait for every page. Avoid repeatedly retrying a source that is currently unavailable.
